This shot was my favorite because of the low-key effect, plus the strong direction of the lighting. Rembrandt was one of the painters who really mastered lighting and the affects of lighting direction in his paintings. This photo reminds me of his work a little bit (although, I am in no way saying that I'm even close to quality and skill that he had as an artist).
