Day 112

Photographing the moon is a lot harder than it looks if you'd like to do it correctly. You need to underexpose the shot to get detail in the moon, since the camera will automatically over-expose the moon (it is a lot brighter than we think). I like this shot for the detail in it, but I realize that a good photo of the moon would also probably include an interesting foreground to look at. Another issue is the lens. Even at 200mm, my lens is too short to get a good close-up shot. I had to crop this photo significantly to even make it this large in the frame. Either way, I think that it is a nice shot considering my meager efforts.

I'm really happy with the fact that this is my 110th  post on here. That means that my goal is about 1/3rd of the way achieved. Thank you to those of you who follow this blog. I know I've moved away from being able to post every single day, but I'm still committing to getting 365 days worth of photos on here, even if it takes 730 days to do it!

This photo kind of surprised me, because I didn't think that it would have been so simple to get a jellyfish photo so clearly, without being under the water. As it turns out, this thing came so close to the surface of the water (I was standing on a dock), that managed to get a clear shot of it. I took several others, but I liked this one best.

This is pretty  much what Liam does on the beach the whole time he's there. He doesn't really go in the water at all. Instead, he just digs. Not really in one spot, but in random spots, and just throws the sand around. He'll do this for 2 hours or more.
