Day 232

Yesterday, I got out my flash again and found some suitable background material and decided to try some shots on our youngest. It seems that studio portraiture can sometimes be snubbed by some because of the traditional formal presentation that it brings. I find it to be fun when you can bring true interaction and natural emotions to the shoot. This series was just an experiment in lighting, but ended with several photos of which I'm happy with despite the traditional lighting setup.

Canon 30D w/85mm 1.8 lens
Varied Exposure settings @ISO 100
Canon 430EX II flash (1/8-1/16 power through shoot-through umbrella)
